Opportunities for Reaching Out to Others

• Check your monthly Newsletter for foods requested by the Milton Food Bank.  You can place them in the cart in the narthex.
• Help our Sunday School fish for people!  Your gift to the project can help buy fish that provide an income for people, give them fresh fish to eat, and help keep down the population of mosquitoes that carry malaria.  Drop a gift in the fish tank provided by our Bible Buddies youth, or give via your church envelope.  Thank you!
• Bethany UMC, Milton, and Love INC are working together with the Annual Coat Drive and Blanket Giveawayto be held Oct. 30 & Nov. 6 at Bethany UMC.  Donations of coats, winter clothing, & blankets (in good, clean condition), may be delivered to Bethany on Mondays 9-12 & Wednesdays 10-2.  You may also contact Love INC for pick-ups @ 742-3561.

Opportunities for Worship

• There are activity kitsinside the entrance to the sanctuary for children to use during worship. 
• Join the Christ Church Bell Choir!  Practices will be scheduled so that we may ring for our Christmas Eve and Easter morning worship services.  Sign up on the table in the narthex!
• Have you considered being a greeteron Sunday mornings?  Be a welcoming, smiling face to our visitors and members!  Sign up in the narthex.
• Worship & Music meets Mon., Oct. 25, 7 p.m.
• Organ Recital at Christ Church on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2:30 p.m. featuring local organists.  Light         refreshments will be available after the Recital.
• Joe Murray Band performing at Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, on Sun., Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m.  Soup/Sandwich meal at 5 p.m.  Donations accepted for meal.  Call 649-5195 to make reservations before Nov. 1. 

Opportunities for Witness

• Consider joining our Gerasene Team, who will study, pray, and ponder ways we can share the power of Jesus with others.   Watch your bulletin for next meeting date.

Opportunities for Learning

• Bible Study TODAY at 7 p.m.
• Finance meets Tues., Oct. 26, 6:30 p.m.
• Bible Buddies on Fri., Oct. 29, 5:30-7 p.m.
• Council meets Tues., Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
• Congregational Meeting after worship on Sun., Nov. 14.  Please plan to attend.  The Agenda includes Constitutional Amendments, 2011 budget, Council elections, & Endowment elections.
• Full-time position available:  Administrative Assistant to Bishop.  Info on bulletin board.

Opportunities for Supporting One Another

• Pray for your neighbors sitting next to you in the pew and for those who are missing this week.
• Newsletter Assembly on Thurs., Oct. 28, 9 a.m.
• We need cans of tuna for a special Bible Buddies activity on Friday, Oct. 29.  If you can donate one or more cans, drop them off in the grocery cart in the narthex.  Thank you!
• Next month’s Newsletter deadline – Nov. 5th.
• Fair Trade event Sat., Nov. 6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at United In Christ Lutheran Church, West Milton.
• Life Line Stroke Screenings will be held on Wed., Nov. 17, at First Presbyterian Church, Milton.  Call 1-888-653-6441 for more info or to pre-register.  Cost for four ultrasound screenings is $139.

I AM THANKFUL NOTES - In celebration of the gifts God gives us as the people of Christ Lutheran Church, your Worship and Music Ministry Group introduces “I Am Thankful” notes.  These notes are now located in your pew racks (along with cards to offer prayer concerns) and are opportunities to express your thanks for gifts shared in our worship together.  If you would like to leave an “I Am Thankful” note, please fill out the card and sign your name.   You may place it in the offering plate for delivery, or you may hand-deliver it following worship. 

Mondays – 5 p.m. – Community Meal at St. Andrew’s (behind Trinity) – served until about 6:15 p.m. – open to all, donations accepted for cost of the meal.   At 5:30 p.m., there is also a cooperative Bible Study ministry being offered by congregations in the Milton Ministerium (through the end of the year).
